Instead of using
a dull, steel cutting teeth like other stump-grinders, the Magnum
uses a set of 6 highly sharpened carbide-tipped teeth to cut through
stumps rapidly. Although it only weighs 88 pounds, the Magnum utilizes
a torque doubled 6 to 10 horsepower engine to cut stumps at an
incredible 4800 rpm, which offers a lightweight alternative to
heavy, slow 4-stroke grinders.
Switching from the
stump grinding to the trench digging teeth takes only minutes,
and the Magnum can then be used to trace out root-lines for stumps
that you've ground. This ensures complete removal of the stump
without needing a completely different machine to remove the roots.
Even though it costs
less and does more, the Magnum doesn't sacrifice power - it can
cut a 12 inch stump in under 8 minutes and a 24 inch stump in less
than 20. The Magnum is an all-around landscaping workhorse powerful
enough for even the toughest jobs.
